The SEN Code of Practice identifies four main areas of SEN:

1. Communication and Interaction

2. Cognition and Learning

3. Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties

4. Sensory and/or Physical Needs

Our School Offer provides details of the resources, interventions etc. that we provide at Drew to support children with SEND.  Due to the ever changing needs of our children there may be additional support available that has not been covered in this document.  If you would like further information about what we offer at Drew or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our SENCo, Ms Murtagh. 

SEN provision for Children and Young People at Drew Primary School.

As part of the Children and Families Act 2013, Local Authorities are required to publish a ‘Local Offer’ which sets out support that is available for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities in the local area.

Newham Borough Council's Local Offer is available on the Newham Council Website (Click here), it tells parents how to access services in their area and what to expect from these services.

Alongside this, schools are required to publish information about their arrangements for identifying, assessing and making provision for pupils with special educational needs.
